FUTA COVID-19 Prevention Protocols, Resumption Guidelines

  The management of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has released the COVID-19 prevention protocols and resumption guidelines for all students of the institution. All students are to note the following guidelines for resumption: University Hostels will be opened to accommodate students as from Monday 18th January 2021. No student will be allowed into the hostels earlier than that date.  Hand washing materials will be provided at strategic points within the campus, and students should wash their hands at regular intervals.  Students are to ensure strict compliance with Covid-19 protocols by putting on their facemasks within and outside the University premises, and in this regard, each student is to have at least five (5) sets of washable facemasks.  Each student is to come with hand sanitiser, which should be in his/her possession at all times and be used at intervals. Mountain Top University Notice To Student On Resumption And Online Lectures For Academic Activities

 The National Universities Commission (NUC) in line with the directives of Presidential Task Force(PTF) on Covid-19 has mandated all Universities to suspend all academic activities involving large crowds while the Universities remain closed pending further directives from the Federal Government on reopening of schools. This directive is for a period of five (5) weeks effective from 23rd December, 2020



Consequently, resumption of students on campus which was scheduled for 3rd January, 2021 is hereby suspended.


*However, online lectures for students at 200 – 500 level will continue until further notice * while all 100 level and Direct Entry Students should note that Online Lecturers will commence on Monday, 4th January 2021.


Concerned students are to take note of this directive and make adequate preparations for the lectures.


Students who are yet to complete their registration for the 2020/2021 Academic Session are advised to do so immediately.


You are also being informed that attendance at Online lectures is Mandatory.
